Frequently Asked Questions
Size dimensions written in listings for Name signs are approximate. We carry several general sizes, please inquire for details. Final size dimensions will vary slightly due to the number of letters and font chosen. We do everything we can to make sure the name sign is created within the listed dimensions but occasionally, signs can be larger or smaller. If you have any concerns please contact us after ordering and we will create a final proof and give you exact dimensions.
Our signs are carved out of formaldehyde-free birch ply and are painted with interior non-toxic acrylic paint. They are not meant for outdoor exposure to wet weather. We also do not use any harsh chemicals or finishes that would permit outdoor use.
Signs can withstand a light dusting with a damp or dry cloth but should not be submerged or scrubbed which could affect painted surface.

Changes to Paint Colors
Paint colors may vary depending on how your computer monitor displays the color. We attempt to accurately represent the colors in our listing photos.
Colors may change slightly over time due to color formulation changes made by paint manufacturer or color matching. Please keep this in mind when trying to match a previously painted item.
Color matching is an option for additional fee. Please inquire.
Unpainted signs have variation in wood grain. This is a natural property in wood. We make every effort to make sure signs are knot and crack free on the face of the sign. Any imperfections on the edges will be patched.
Signs are hand painted by brush by me in my shop and stamped on back with our logo.
When will my package ship?
If you are wondering when your package will ship. Generally, we use the date shown on your invoice. Unless an earlier date is arranged by purchasing rush processing. Occasionally, we are ahead of schedule and reserve the right to ship earlier than "ship by" date on the invoice. Please let us know if this will be an issue because you have an event or situation where you need the sign by a certain date.
You should receive a shipping notification with tracking once your package has been shipped.
Domestic: If a package is returned to us by the post office due to an incorrect customer address or failure to pick up package, Moon Snail Creations is not able to issue a refund. Customer must repay to have item reshipped.
International: If a package is returned to us by the post office because of buyer failing to retrieve package or failure to pay customs/duty taxes, no refund will be issued. Shipping tracking numbers are sent at the time of shipment so buyer should be aware to expect their package and contact their local postal office if they have not seen a change in the delivery/shipping status. Buyer is responsible for all taxes/duty fees. Buyer must repay to have item reshipped.
Need Changes made to an order
If you have ordered and need changes made to the existing order, such as an address, paint color, font, name spelling etc, please message us right away with those changes. We will begin working on your order after it has been placed and reserve the right to ship as scheduled or earlier. If you wait several weeks to make changes, you may miss the opportunity to make those changes. This is especially important for in stock items which may be shipped same day as ordered.
